Our Story
A sushi bar first, everything else second.
About Love Boat Sushi
Love Boat Sushi in San Marcos is owned and run independently, built around the sushi bar itself — it's the reason the name says "sushi," not "restaurant." Hand-cut sashimi, real blue crab (not the imitation kind) in the signature rolls, and fish sourced with enough specificity to name where it's from: bluefin tuna, Faroe Islands salmon, premium Japanese yellowtail.
There's a full kitchen behind the sushi bar too — ramen, hibachi, teriyaki, tempura, and a kids menu — so it works as a real dinner destination even on nights the fish isn't the point. What you won't find is a full bar. Beer, wine, and sake, poured to go with the food, not the other way around.
The name traces back to a shared origin with other Love Boat Sushi locations, but San Marcos is independently owned and operated — this is its own kitchen, its own sushi bar, its own crew.
